Ashburton Speedway is located in the heart of Mid Canterbury in the farming town of Ashburton. The track is located at the Ashburton Airport on Seafield Road Ashburton.
Speedway racing has been at the track since 1970 Under the name of Ashburton Stock Car Club. The name was changed to Ashburton Speedway Association in December 1985, and in 2017 the club became affiliated with CTRA.
Ashburton Speedway races a variety of regular classes including Adult Ministocks, C Grade,
Production, Saloons, Stockcars, Streetstocks and Youth Ministocks.
The club also has many visiting classes from time to time including Super Saloons, Modifieds, Quarter Midgets and Wingless Sprints.
